Josiah Black was a talented Canadian-American film and television actor, renowned for his versatility and range in a variety of notable projects. His impressive filmography includes American Bad Boy, a film that showcased his chemistry with Katt Williams, as well as Kindergarten Cop 2, where he shared the screen with Dolph Lundgren and Bill Bellamy. Additionally, he appeared in Sex and the Single Alien, a film directed by Peter Daskaloff, and numerous other notable credits.
Born in Thailand, Josiah spent the first five years of his life immersed in the country's rich cultural heritage before his family relocated to a Vancouver suburb in British Columbia, Canada, called Mission. It was during this period that he discovered his passion for the creative arts, initially as a guitarist and singer in a rock group called "Apprehended". He went on to play in various bands and solo acts, eventually transitioning to acting after training with coach Bart Anderson in Vancouver.
Following the production, writing, and starring in his own film alongside his brother, Paul, they both relocated to California, where they pursued modeling and stand-up comedy in addition to further honing their acting craft. Throughout his career, Josiah continued to perform in various cities around Los Angeles, often taking time off to enjoy his love of surfing with his wife or brother.
Tragically, Josiah's life was cut short when he passed away on June 15, 2020, at the age of 32, following a fatal fall at Spion Kop, British Columbia, Canada. He leaves behind his loving wife, Alicia, and their young son, as well as an unborn child.
