Biography

Joshua Coleman's life story is a testament to his resilience and determination. As a young child, he was cast into a challenging role, playing the son of a father who was imprisoned for a violent crime, and later the stepson of a man who abandoned him without explanation. These real-life roles were not performed on stage or screen, but were instead acted out in his everyday life. Despite being separated from his entire family, Coleman never gave up and continues to apply the lessons he learned from his past to make his future successful and productive, a promise he made to his mother.

As a focused academician and athlete, Coleman excelled in multiple events as captain of the track and field team at his high school in California, where he graduated with a 4.0 GPA. He was heavily recruited for both his academic and athletic talents and chose to attend the University of Pennsylvania, where he was once again named captain of the track and field team. Coleman led his team to victory in the Ivy League Championships and finished with an impressive total score of over 6100 points in the decathlon and a pole vault of 16' 0".

In his junior year, Coleman took up bodybuilding and earned the prestigious bodybuilding championship title of Mr. Penn. After graduating with honors, he moved to New York City to pursue his dream as an actor and was cast as the lead in his first feature film, Games People Play: New York (2004). The director was so impressed with his talent and drive that he was immediately cast as the special guest star of Games People Play: Hollywood (2004). Rex Reed described Coleman's debut performance as "A great leading man - and a man of many faces - funny, loose, charismatic - yet spirited and alluring enough to put the audience at ease, and seductive enough to turn the audience on. Best of all, Coleman makes people want to experience more of his charm as an actor. He's some kind of blond, all-American, big screen dynamite just waiting to explode!"

Currently, Coleman is working on his first draft of "Raising the Bar," a screenplay that chronicles his struggles and accomplishments as he attempts to cross over from childhood into adulthood. He hopes to shop it around to producers and directors in the near future.
