Josey Smith is an American SAG-AFTRA actress born in New Mexico on May 10, 2006. Her acting career began at the tender age of 8 years old when she was cast as a background actor in two different movies in 2014. Since then, she has been cast in commercials for prominent brands such as Homewood Suites and Blue Cross BlueShield. In 2016, she joined SAG-AFTRA after costarring in the hit television series Preacher. She has successfully booked multiple principal roles, including a role in the film Ideal Home, starring actors Paul Rudd and Steve Coogan.
Josey already possesses a solid foundation of training, which she is constantly strengthening. Her training has been provided by renowned industry professionals. For instance, she has trained with Casting Director Angelique Midthunder, who has been nominated for an Emmy and Artios award, and has worked on films such as Hostiles and Longmire. Josey has also trained with Kathryn Brink, a local NM and international Casting Director, known for her work on Rent and The Longest Yard. In addition to her formal training, Josey has also trained with Stephen Burhoe, an acting coach with over 25 years of experience in the film industry. She has starred in Peter Pan at the Missoula Children's Theater and has modeled for large companies including Dillard's, Presbyterian Health Services, and "Albuquerque the Magazine". Most recently, Josey starred as Young Anna Christina alongside Billy Zane, Christopher Plummer, Tania Raymonde, Jan Uddin, and Raza Jaffrey in the film Cliffs of Freedom.
