Person Biography:
Born in London, Gatt developed an early passion for acting after watching Star Wars at the age of 8, deciding to emulate Han Solo as he grew older. He began his professional training at the Sylvia Young Theater School and later attended the Mountview Academy of Theater Arts, graduating with a degree. Prior to pursuing a career in acting, Gatt had a brief stint in the British Royal Marines.
Gatt's early career in the West End included starring roles in productions such as "Miss Saigon" and "Jesus Christ Superstar." He soon transitioned to the US, landing a lead role in the thriller feature "Pulse" alongside Kristen Bell.
Gatt is perhaps most recognized for his work as the motion capture performer and likeness for Kratos in the "God of War" video game franchise, as well as the voice of Lord Scourge in the popular "Star Wars: The Old Republic." He has also appeared as the Frost Giant villain Grundroth in Marvel's "Thor" and will next be seen as Science Officer 0718 in the highly anticipated sequel "Star Trek Into Darkness" from J.J. Abrams.
Notable television guest star credits include NBC's "Chuck," Fox's "Breaking In," Adult Swim's "Eagleheart," David E. Kelley's "Wonder Woman" pilot for NBC, and a recurring role on Cinemax's new series "Banshee."
Gatt currently resides in Los Angeles and has been open about his struggles with alopecia universalis, a condition that caused his hair to fall out at the age of 14.
