Jose Mangin, a true headbanger at heart, was raised in an Arizona border town surrounded by the iconic sounds of Mötley Crüe, Metallica, and Pantera. Since 2000, he has been living his dream as a pioneering programmer at SiriusXM Satellite Radio in New York City, where he has been instrumental in shaping the sound of Liquid Metal, Octane, and Ozzy's Boneyard.
As the host of a weekday show on Liquid Metal and weekends on Octane, Jose has become a staple of the SiriusXM lineup. He also appears regularly on the Howard Stern Show, Raw Dog Comedy, and the Covino & Rich Show, showcasing his versatility and charisma.
In addition to his work in radio, Jose has had a successful career in television, hosting the nationally syndicated TV newsmagazine LatiNation for over eight years, reaching over 100 major Latino markets. He also fulfilled a childhood dream by hosting the legendary MTV Headbangers Ball for two years, and went on to produce, direct, and edit the show for another two years after it transitioned to an online format.
As a live host, Jose has appeared at hundreds of high-profile concerts and events, including Metallica's historic Apollo Theater concert and 2011 "Big 4" concert at Yankee Stadium, Ozzy Osbourne's birthday show at Madison Square Garden, Rock on the Range in Columbus, OH, and many Jagermeister music tour dates.
In 2013, Affliction Clothing named Jose director of artist relations, and he now works closely with artists on all Affliction music branding. He is endorsed by Jagermeister, G-Pen, Monster Headphones, Dean Guitars, and Monster Energy Drink.
Before his career in radio and television, Jose studied chemistry at the University of Arizona and went on to attend grad school for pharmacy at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He has been married for 14 years and has two beautiful headbanging daughters, ages 8 and 11.
