José Estrada Jr. is a renowned Puerto Rican former professional wrestler, whose illustrious career spanned multiple promotions and reigns. Known as Super Medico III, he initially made a name for himself in the World Wrestling Council (WWC),where he teamed with his father José Estrada Sr. (Super Medico I) as the Super Medicos.
Their first notable achievement was winning the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Championship from Rick Valentine and Eric Embry on November 10, 1990. Although they lost the title back to the team on December 15 of the same year, they began their second reign on January 6, 1991, only to lose it to Valentine and new partner Gran Mendoza 17 days later.
As a singles competitor, Estrada, now known as Super Medic III, made a significant impact, defeating American Scott Hall to win the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship on April 20, 1991. He lost the title to Rod Price on July 6, 1991, but regained it on July 13, before ultimately losing it to Fidel Sierra on August 3, 1991.
In 1997, Estrada made his World Wrestling Federation (WWF) debut as a member of Savio Vega's Los Boricuas stable, alongside Miguel Pérez Jr. and Jesús "Huracán" Castillo. The group was primarily involved in feuds with other stables, including the Nation of Domination and the Disciples of Apocalypse (DoA),with the feud with DoA being voted the Worst Feud of the Year by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
During WrestleMania XIV's tag team Battle Royal, Los Boricuas engaged two teams, fighting on Raw is War. Vega left the group in July, but the remaining members continued to compete as a tag team on Raw and Shotgun Saturday Night until October 1998.
Tragically, Estrada broke his neck in a match with Edge on the June 22, 1998 episode of Raw is War, marking a significant turning point in his career. Los Boricuas continued to compete on Super Astros until the show ended in August 1999, after which all three members left the company.
Estrada's career later took him to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, where he made appearances.
