Biography

Jonny was born into a family with a unique blend of creative and athletic backgrounds. His mother was a skilled seamstress, while his father was a professional footballer. This diverse upbringing laid the foundation for Jonny's early forays into the world of performance.

As a child, Jonny's earliest appearances were in school productions, showcasing his versatility as an actor. One notable performance was a double bill of Oscar Wilde's "The Ballad Of Reading Gaol" and Ovid's "Chariot Of The Sun", where Jonny took on the roles of Judge and Phaeton respectively.

The production and Jonny's performance received widespread acclaim, garnering rave reviews in the national press. This early success sparked a passion within Jonny, and his mentor, renowned writer and director Robert Tanitch, encouraged him to audition for prestigious theatre schools.

Jonny's talent and dedication earned him a place at the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, where he was awarded the Hannam Clarke award upon graduation. He chose to pursue a career in theatre, his first love, and has continued to return to it between film and television projects.

After years of working in theatre, TV, and film in the UK, Jonny's recent projects include "Sharpe's Peril" alongside Sean Bean and "Nutcracker- the Untold Story", directed by the legendary Andrei Konchalovsky, and co-starring Nathan Lane and John Turturro. In 2009, Jonny made the move to Los Angeles, where he quickly landed one of the most coveted roles on TV, playing Chief Warden Edwin James in JJ Abrams' "Alcatraz".

Today, Jonny splits his time between Los Angeles and his beloved Victorian home in North London, where he continues to thrive in his career and cherishes his unique blend of creative and athletic roots.
