Meet Jonathan A. Stewart, a renowned screenwriter celebrated for his work on a string of successful films, including Pixar/Disney's Cars 3, Smallfoot, Angry Birds 2, and the 2020 Scooby-Doo reboot, Scoob.
In collaboration with his writing partner, Eyal Podell, Stewart is currently crafting the original feature, The Scenic Route, for Media Rights Capital, slated for release in 2022. The duo's impressive portfolio boasts screenplays for prominent studios such as Dreamworks, Universal, Warner Bros., Paramount, ABC Studios, STX, Paramount Animation, Sony Animation, and Fox Animation.
Stewart's extensive experience also includes serving on Pixar's Braintrust from 2013 to 2014. His inspired-by-true-LGBTQ-events TV drama pilot, Grace, was sold to ABC Studios in the fall of 2016, and a modern adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic, Two Cities, was sold to the same studio in the fall of 2017.
In 2012, Podell & Stewart's screenplay, Seuss, a biopic about the legendary author, secured the #2 spot on Hollywood's Black List and is currently being produced by Carla Hacken at Paper Pictures.
