Jonathan K. Riggs is a multifaceted individual with a strong background in both music and business. During his college years, he had the opportunity to perform in the production "And The Winner Is" at Opryland USA in Nashville, Tennessee.
After graduating from Belmont University with a bachelor's degree in music, Jonathan began a career in music publishing while simultaneously pursuing his MBA from the Massey School of Business. This dual pursuit allowed him to hone his skills in both creative and business fields.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Jonathan was also busy raising four children with his wife Lara. Despite the demands of his career and family life, he continued to nurture his passion for music by singing regularly.
However, his music publishing position came to an end in 2010 due to the Great Recession. Jonathan then transitioned into a short stint in healthcare IT before ultimately deciding to leave the corporate world behind and focus on his acting career.
To further develop his craft, Jonathan has undergone extensive training with Caroline Locorriere at the Nashville Acting Studio and has participated in numerous workshops with industry experts in the Southeast. He has also had the privilege of working with several esteemed mentors, including Audrey Moore, Bonnie Gillespie, and Wendy Alane Wright.
As a proud member of SAG-AFTRA, Jonathan is actively involved with the Nashville Local and regularly uses his performance talents to train medical professionals, social workers, and business executives.
Throughout his career, Jonathan has had the opportunity to showcase his talents in various roles, including a supporting role in "The Clovehitch Killer" alongside Dylan McDermott and a principal role in a national commercial featuring NFL personality Cris Collinsworth.
Jonathan is well-suited to play quirky office guys, white-collar professionals, or laid-back dads in comedy or drama, and is eager to take on his first leading-man role in an indie film or television guest star. He currently resides with his family in Nashville and works throughout the country.
