Jonathan Mossek has spent the past fifteen years honing his skills as a multifaceted filmmaker, working as a director, producer, and editor in both the film and television industries.
His professional journey began in the world of news, where he trained as a filmmaker while working for NBC, covering a wide range of global events, including the Intifada in Gaza, the assassination of Prime Minister Rabin, the Kosovo conflict, the war in Afghanistan, the Miners' story in Chile, the earthquakes in Haiti, and most recently, the revolutions in Egypt and Libya.
In addition to his work in news, Mossek co-created the successful network show "Shop The World" for Grey Advertising, which was syndicated across the United States.
As a documentary filmmaker, Mossek has both directed and produced several projects, including the three-part PBS series "Cuban Masters" and the documentary "Have You Heard of The Panthers."
In 2010, Mossek's first feature film, "As Good as Dead," premiered at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in Los Angeles and was subsequently released theatrically by First Look in October. The film received widespread critical acclaim, with many positive reviews in print and online.
Mossek's outstanding work in the news arena earned him two Emmy Award nominations.
Today, Mossek is a partner in the production company Major Motion Pictures, which has been involved in several notable projects, including "Louisiana Caviar" (2017),directed by Cuba Gooding Jr., and "Son of The South" (2017),directed by Barry Alexander Brown.
