Jonathan Lippert Keltz, a talented individual, was born in New York City to Karin Lippert, a public relations professional, and Martin Keltz, the co-founder and President of Scholastic Productions. He spent his early years in the city, attending pre-school before moving upstate to Woodstock, New York, where he continued his education at Poughkeepsie Day School until the 8th grade.
As his family relocated to Toronto, Canada, Jonathan attended Northern Secondary School for high school. Although he had already gained experience in various theater productions, his professional acting career took off shortly after his 16th birthday, following his signing with an agent.
Jonathan's passion for acting was ignited by his first drama teacher, Victoria Silvestri, the performance of Kenneth Branagh in Hamlet, and a Master Class Workshop with Alan Arkin. His early film appearances included roles opposite Heather Graham in "Cake" and Chris Cooper's son in "Breach" for Universal.
Jonathan co-starred in Disney's "Prom" and reprised his role as Ari Gold's loyal assistant, Jake Steinberg, in the final season of "Entourage." He also took on lead roles in two independent features, "Playback" alongside Christian Slater, and "Transgression" opposite Michael Ironside.
In addition to "Entourage," Jonathan's television credits include lead roles in the MOW's "Dadnapped" for The Disney Channel and "Acceptance" for Lifetime. His guest star roles include appearances in "Leverage," "Breakout Kings," "CSI: Miami," "Cold Case," and a recurring role on "Degrassi: The Next Generation."
Jonathan currently resides in Los Angeles and is of German (mother) and Polish Jewish (father) heritage. His mother was born in Hamburg.
