Biography

Jonathan Ajayi, a British actor of Nigerian heritage, was born in London, England. He pursued his passion for acting at Arts Educational Schools, where he completed a one-year part-time foundation course in acting with distinction. This impressive achievement earned him a place at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA).

At LAMDA, Jonathan was not only accepted onto the three-year BA Hons Programme but was also awarded a full scholarship courtesy of The Clothworkers Foundation. He went on to complete his training, and during his third and final year, he secured a lead role in "The Brothers Size" written by Tarrell Alvin McCraney and directed by Bijan Sheibani at The Young Vic Theatre.

This production marked Jonathan's West End debut and garnered him significant critical acclaim. Following the run, Jonathan returned to LAMDA and graduated with a First Class Honours degree. Since then, he has worked with the BBC on "Noughts & Crosses" and DC on "Wonder Woman 1984". Additionally, he has continued to appear in theatre shows at The Bush Theatre and The National Theatre.
