Jon Harrison Taylor, a multi-talented individual, hails from Dallas, Texas, but currently resides in Los Angeles, California. As the youngest son of the renowned rhythm and blues STAX icon Johnnie Taylor, Jon's upbringing was steeped in music. He fondly recalls attending concerts from a young age, often serving as a "backstage baby." This exposure sparked his passion for the arts, and Jon's acting career began at the tender age of nine when he landed a role in a supermarket commercial.
As an adolescent, Jon appeared in various musical productions, including The Wiz, Damn Yankees, and Little Shop of Horrors. His love for music soon led him to form rock bands, where he took on lead singing and guitar-playing duties. Throughout his college years, Jon continued to lead bands, honing his skills and developing his unique style.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Taylor pursued a career as a professional lead guitarist, recording and touring with major label artists. He performed across the United States and Europe, making appearances on popular television shows such as The Carson Daly Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Soul Train, and Top of the Pops.
In 2007, Jon rekindled his passion for screenwriting and acting. He attended the Los Angeles Film School and began creating content, including a music-comedy web short, The Love Echo, which he co-created with actor/writer/comedian Don Reed. Taylor also developed a web series, "Uncle B. On...," where he played an elderly alter ego discussing current events.
Jon's most ambitious project to date is the rock n' roll comedy Sweet, which he is creating, writing (both music and screenplays),producing, directing, and starring in. With his diverse range of talents and extensive experience in the entertainment industry, Jon Harrison Taylor is undoubtedly a multifaceted creative force to be reckoned with.
