Jon Bernthal, a talented individual, was born and raised in the nation's capital, Washington D.C., to parents Joan (Marx) and Eric Bernthal, a lawyer, and was blessed with a musical heritage through his grandfather, Murray Bernthal, a musician.
With a passion for the arts, Jon pursued his studies at the prestigious Moscow Art Theatre School in Moscow, Russia, where he also had the unique opportunity to play professional baseball in the European professional baseball federation.
His time in Moscow did not go unnoticed, as he was spotted by the director of Harvard University's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at the American Repertory Theatre, who extended an invitation for Jon to obtain his Master of Fine Arts degree there.
Upon graduating in 2002, Jon went on to perform in over 30 plays regionally and off-Broadway, including many productions with his own award-winning theatre company, Fovea Floods.
Currently, Jon resides in the picturesque city of Venice, California, where he shares his life with his loyal canine companion, Boss.
