Native to the sun-kissed city of San Diego, Johnny Chavez emerged as the second of four children born to Susan and Albert Chavez. His affinity for theatre was first kindled when he landed a lead role in a 7th grade musical, sparking a lifelong passion for the performing arts.
Following his attendance at Santana High School in San Diego's East County, Johnny embarked on a series of jobs in the construction and trucking industries, eventually settling in with a large general engineering contractor. After a decade of dedicated service, his restlessness grew, and he decided to resign to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations.
Johnny's transportation business flourished, and before long, he was seeking new challenges. The burgeoning San Diego film and television industry, which began to take shape in the 1990s, piqued his interest. He started by taking on extra roles in several productions, including "Pensacola: Wings of Gold", "How to Marry a Billionaire", and "Blood Money".
Now residing in Studio City, California, Johnny is an active member of the Independent Players, a local theatre troupe, and regularly appears in Shakespearean productions. In 2006, he landed a starring role in the critically acclaimed Sundance award-winning film "Quinceanera", further solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile actor.
