John Wahba's illustrious filmmaking career commenced in his hometown of Cairo, Egypt, where he was born and reared. Initially, he functioned as a solo operator, responsible for shooting, editing, directing, and producing a diverse array of projects. In 1998, he embarked on a new chapter in his life by crossing the vast expanse of the ocean to join Big Idea Productions, which was then headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It was during his tenure at Big Idea that he developed a profound passion for computer-generated (CG) animation and rapidly ascended to the position of chief editor for the successful direct-to-video series, "VeggieTales," as well as its spin-off, "3-2-1 Penguins," and the first feature-length film in the "VeggieTales" franchise, "Jonah."
In 2003, John joined DNA Productions in Irving, Texas, where he collaborated on the popular Nickelodeon television show, "Jimmy Neutron," as well as the Warner Bros. feature film, "The Ant Bully." His most recent feature film credit is the Universal Pictures production, "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." Currently, John resides in the picturesque town of Franklin, Tennessee, where he continues to work on various animated narrative projects.
