John Schuck, born Conrad John Schuck, Jr. on February 4, 1940, in Boston, Massachusetts, is an American actor of English and German heritage. He is the son of an English professor who taught at various institutions, including Princeton College and SUNY Buffalo.

Schuck's early career began in regional theatre, where he appeared in productions such as "Marat/Sade" and "Brewster McCloud". He was discovered by director Robert Altman and went on to work with him on several films, including "M*A*S*H", "Brewster McCloud", "McCabe & Mrs. Miller", and "Thieves Like Us".

Schuck's television career spanned several decades, with notable roles on shows such as "McMillan & Wife", "The New Odd Couple", and "The Munsters Today". He also appeared in various TV movies, including "Roots" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation".

In addition to his screen work, Schuck has also had a successful career in musical theatre, starring as Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks in the hit musical "Annie" and playing Frank Butler in "Annie Get Your Gun". He has also appeared in numerous other stage productions, including "The Sound of Music", "Peter Pan", and "She Loves Me".

Schuck has been married twice, first to actress Susan Bay Nimoy from 1978 to 1983, and then to painter Harrison Houlé in 1990. He has a son, Aaron, from his first marriage.
