Biography

John Hyams, a talented individual, embarked on a career in the fine arts, graduating from Syracuse University's esteemed School of Visual and Performing Arts, where he excelled in painting and sculpture, earning top awards for his exceptional skills. His artistic endeavors were met with great success, as he exhibited and sold his work in prominent cities such as Los Angeles and New York.

However, Hyams' creative pursuits soon shifted towards the world of film. In 1997, he wrote, directed, and produced the highly acclaimed "One Dog Day," which premiered at the prestigious Taos Talking Pictures Film Festival. This notable achievement marked the beginning of a successful career in the film industry.

Hyams' expertise behind the camera continued to grow, as he went on to direct episodes of the popular ABC television series, "NYPD Blue." His experience and skill eventually led to him directing two notable films, "Universal Soldier: Regeneration" (2009),which featured action stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.
