Biography

Born and raised in the Garden State of New Jersey, a young Griesemer's life was forever changed when he embarked on an assignment to cover a local theatre company in Lebanon, New Hampshire. It was during this stint that he was persuaded by the director to audition for a play, a decision that would ultimately lead him down the path of a lifelong passion.

For two consecutive years, Griesemer worked tirelessly with the local theatre company, taking on a wide range of roles that showcased his impressive acting chops. From the iconic Romeo in "Romeo and Juliet" to children's theatre productions, he proved himself to be a versatile and talented performer.

Griesemer's next chapter took him to the Green Mountain State of Vermont, where he collaborated with renowned playwright Peter Parnell on the inaugural workshop production of Parnell's play, "Scooter Thomas Makes It to the Top of the World." This experience further honed his craft and prepared him for the next phase of his journey.

In 1977, Griesemer made the move to the city that never sleeps, New York, where he enrolled in classes with the legendary acting teacher Robert Lewis. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Faith Catlin, who was also a student in another class. The couple has since settled in New Hampshire with their two children.

In addition to his impressive acting career, Griesemer is also the author of two novels, "No One Thinks of Greenland" and "Signal & Noice," both published by Picador USA.
