Personal Details

Biography

John embarked on a journey of creative expression, transitioning from stand-up comedy to writing as a means to convey his struggles with depression. His talent for crafting humor led to him penning jokes for renowned comedians such as Rodney Dangerfield, Johnny Carson, David Letterman, Gabe Kaplan, Elayne Boozler, Billy Crystal, and Joe Piscopo. This success ultimately landed him positions on the writing staffs of iconic television programs like "Saturday Night Live," "The Tonight Show," and "Politically Incorrect." He went on to serve as the head writer for the critically acclaimed "D.C. Follies" and contributed to sitcoms, though he remains too embarrassed to cash the checks to this day.

Notably, John's accomplishments extend beyond his writing endeavors. He served as the supervising producer of the ACE Award-winning "Joe Piscopo Special" on HBO and produced the highly acclaimed "Comedy Club Super Stars" on ABC, deemed the best special about stand-up comedy by competing networks.

In recent years, John ventured into filmmaking, writing and directing "The Last Request," a feature film starring Danny Aiello and T.R. Knight, which is set to premiere in theaters before his next reincarnation. With a confident sense of his own sex appeal, John proudly wears no underwear under his underwear. He shares his life with his dog and cat in New Jersey, but plans to upgrade his living arrangements, currently resembling a kennel, in the near future.
