Biography

John A. Corso, a native of New York City, boasts an impressive twenty-eight years of experience in the entertainment industry, with a remarkable track record of success in major motion pictures, screenplays, TV programs, commercials, and music videos, serving as Producer, Director, Cinematographer, and Author.

In his teenage years, Corso had the opportunity to film the historic debut of the Ramones and Talking Heads at Max's Kansas City.

Corso graduated from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts Film School, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Producing and Directing, and was an award-winning student.

Notably, Corso became the youngest Cinematographer to be accepted into the Cinematographer's Guild as Director of Photography, achieving substantial feature credentials as DP in his early twenties.

As a pioneer in the art of Steadicam Cinematography, Corso worked under the guidance of its Oscar-winning inventor.

Corso produced, directed, and filmed a series of TV spots for Howard Stern's wildly successful pay-per-view special, earning praise from Stern himself.

Corso directed the science fiction cult favorite "Blood Circus" and served as Second Unit Director on a number of feature films, with additional uncredited First and Second Unit directing assignments.

He also filmed the Oscar-nominated documentary "Spaces: The Architecture of Paul Rudolph".
