Biography

John Clark's journey in the world of acting began during World War II, when he was still a child, playing the role of D'arcy Minor, the comedic sidekick to Will Hay on the BBC radio program "The Will Hay Programme".

As his career progressed, he gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of the original "Just William" on stage and radio in 1947.

Subsequently, Clark made the bold decision to relocate to Canada, where he served a three-year stint in the Merchant Navy before becoming the host of his own television interview program, "Junior Magazine", on the CBC network.

In the early 1960s, Clark made the transition to New York, where he shared the stage with notable actors such as Ray Milland, Stacy Keach, Cedric Hardwicke, and Luther Adler in productions like "Hostile Witness", "Macbird", "An Inspector Calls", and "A View From The Bridge".

Throughout his later years, Clark maintained a strong presence in the entertainment industry, primarily as the husband and manager of the renowned actress Lynn Redgrave, whom he was married to for an impressive 33 years.

During his time as a producer, Clark was responsible for bringing numerous stage productions to life, including "Saint Joan", "California Suite", and "The Two of Us". His most recent creative endeavour was as the co-writer, producer, and director of Redgrave's Tony-nominated play "Shakespeare For My Father", which enjoyed successful runs on both Broadway and at the Haymarket in London.

However, Clark's life took a dramatic turn when he revealed that he had fathered a child as a favor to a family friend, who subsequently sued the family for a substantial portion of their wealth. The subsequent media frenzy led to the spread of false rumors, prompting Clark to create a website where he shares the full story.
