Biography

Joel Roman, a talented character actor, was born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His parents, Maria and Noel Roman, instilled in him a strong sense of family values, which are reflected in his close relationships with his younger brother, Jonathan, and sister, Jeanette.

Represented by Sylvia Hutson Agency, Joel has honed his craft through extensive training and experience. As a member of SAG/AFTRA, he has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including films and television shows.

Throughout his career, Joel has appeared in numerous movies, such as Cielto Lindo, The Journey, Dockweiler, Skid Marks, The Grind, Remembering Phil, and Dibs, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He has also made appearances on popular TV shows like Law & Order, Johnny Zero, Filmfakers, America's Most Wanted, ICarly, Happily Never After, and FBI: Criminal Pursuit.

In addition to his screen work, Joel has had the opportunity to perform in Off-Broadway plays in New York and California, including A Midsummer's Night Dream and the Madwoman of Chaillot. He has also appeared in commercials for well-known brands like McDonald's, Wal-Mart, and Mun 2.

Joel's passion for acting began during his senior year at Warren Harding High School, where he attended the Regional Center for Arts. After graduating in 2000, he continued to refine his craft, attending Housatonic Community College and taking acting classes. He also trained at TVI Studios in New York and worked with independent coaches in Hollywood, California.

One of Joel's most notable projects is his one-man show, "Hollywood's Lost Child, It Ain't Easy Being Godly," which he wrote, co-directed, and produced. The show has been performed at various venues, including the One Act Festival in New York and the Smithfield One Act Festival in Virginia, where Joel won the Best Actor Award in 2013.

Joel's latest project, "Hollywood to Holiness: It Ain't Easy Being Godly," is a revamped version of his original play, which he will be performing in Hampton Roads and surrounding areas. He is also set to direct a remake of Othello, titled "MyOthello," through Americorps, which aims to make the classic play more relatable to today's youth.

Throughout his journey, Joel has remained humble and grateful, attributing all his success to God. He continues to use his talents to spread a positive message and inspire others through his performances.
