Biography

Joe Cortese is a talented actor, writer, and producer who has made a lasting impact in the entertainment industry. He is best known for his roles in the Oscar-winning film Green Book (2019),opposite Viggo Mortensen, and the Showtime mini-series The Loudest Voice (2019),where he played Roger Stone alongside Russell Crowe.

Cortese's acting career spans over four decades, starting with his breakout role in the 1976 cult classic gangster film The Death Collector, costarring Joe Pesci. He has since appeared in a wide range of films, including Windows (1980),Monsignor (1982),American History X (1998),Against The Ropes (2004),and Ruby (1992),among others.

In addition to his film work, Cortese has also made a name for himself in television, with notable roles in shows such as The Assassination of Gianni Versace-American Crime Story (2017),C.A.T. Squad: Python Wolf (1988),and It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia (2007).

Cortese's theater credits are equally impressive, with productions including True West, Waking Jimmy Rizzo, and Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello's Che Che and Man With The Flower In His Mouth.
