Jodie Fisher's Early Life and Career Beginnings
Born on July 17, 1969, in Dallas, Texas, Jodie Fisher was raised by her parents, Polly (Crawford) and Dale Fisher, alongside her younger sister, Jill. Her ancestry is a rich blend of Irish, English, and Norwegian heritage.
Fisher's passion for performing began at a tender age, as she started dancing and competing with the Dallas Dolls Drill Team Ensemble. Her talent and dedication paid off when she won the National Miss Drill Team Competition in Norman, Oklahoma, at just 16 years old. She also participated in various beauty pageants, including Miss Teenage America.
Education and Early Break
After completing her degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University, Fisher moved to New York City, where she "accidentally" landed her first pilot for renowned producer Aaron Spelling. This marked the beginning of her professional acting career, as she began auditioning and booking leading roles in numerous films.
Fisher's dedication to her craft led her to join the Screen Actors Guild and enroll in an intensive two-year acting program at Baron Brown Studios, where she studied under the guidance of DW Brown.
Notable Roles and Television Appearances
Throughout her illustrious career, Fisher has appeared as the lead actress in dozens of films and as a series regular in several TV series, including the NBC production "Age of Love". More recently, she made a guest appearance on "NCIS: Los Angeles". In 2019, Fisher landed the role of "Julie" as a series regular on "The Real Geezers of Beverly Hills".
Personal Life
When not gracing the screens, Fisher resides in Los Angeles, frequently traveling to Texas and New York. Her greatest joy, however, lies in being a devoted mother to her son, Jack.
