Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jodi Lynn Thomas, a highly accomplished actress, graduated with honors from the Las Vegas Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, where she majored in Theatre, and later earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Northern Colorado.
Thomas has continued her education by attending various acting workshops and classes, including those taught by Clark Middleton at APT 929 in LA, Leigh Kilton-Smith at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, Annie Grindlay Studios, and the Chubbuck Acting Technique at Southwest Scene Works.
Throughout her career, Jodi Lynn Thomas has received numerous awards and accolades for her outstanding performances, including multiple "Best Actress" awards, with over 40 leading roles under her belt. She has shared the screen with renowned actors such as Tony Todd, Basil Hoffman, Tony Goldwyn, Josh Hartnett, Eiza Gonzales, Natalie Portman, Bella Thorne, and Kyra Sedgwick, among others.
Thomas has gained a reputation as an indie darling in the horror community, with many glowing reviews of her work, including her leading role in the feature film "The Creep Behind The Camera", which premiered at the Screamfest and Fantasia International Film Festival.
Her recent projects include working alongside Tina Fey and Jon Hamm in the dark comedy "Maggie Moore(s)", as well as finishing filming as one of the lead roles in the psychological thriller TV pilot "Behind The Yellow House", where she plays a mentally fragile and emotional housewife in a sex cult.
Thomas has also had the opportunity to work with esteemed directors such as Andrew Stanton, Adam Arkin, Daisy Mayer, and Sam Catlin, appearing in various projects including Amazon's "Tales From The Loop", Epix's "Get Shorty", and AMC's "Preacher", where she turned her one-episode role into a recurring three-episode arc.
In addition to her acting career, Thomas has also focused on producing projects, with her most recent dark comedy pilot project "Willa", which she co-directed and wrote, winning multiple awards at festivals including the "Your Script Produced" award in 2019 and the "Austin Comedy Film Festival" award in 2022.
