Born in the vibrant city of Brooklyn, New York, Joanne's artistic inclinations were nurtured from a young age, as she attended the prestigious Art & Design High School in New York City. Initially, she aspired to become a fashion illustrator, but her path took an unexpected turn when she discovered her true passion for music.
As a featured vocalist in various bands, Joanne honed her skills and eventually formed her own band, IN-KOG-NEETO, with which she had the privilege of collaborating with numerous renowned musicians. Her band's performances at over 100 high-profile events annually solidified her position as a respected figure in the music industry.
Beyond her musical endeavors, Joanne's passion for writing has led her to publish articles in various publications. Whether writing a restaurant review, movie review, or feature article, Joanne brought her signature enthusiasm and energy to her stories. Her writing skills have also allowed her to interview iconic rock stars such as Dee Snider, Mick Taylor, Jeff Beck, John Mayall, Peter Green, and even secure an exclusive interview with the elusive Gregg Allman, who is notoriously selective about his interviews.
In addition to her writing and music pursuits, Joanne has also ventured into the world of filmmaking. She has teamed up with independent filmmakers and producers to bring her creative talents to the big screen. As a writer and producer, Joanne has penned several award-winning screenplays featuring A-list talent, including Armand Assante, Eric Roberts, William Forsythe, Michael Wright, Sean Young, and many more. Furthermore, Joanne is also a skilled songwriter, with many of her original compositions featured in film soundtracks.
