Joana Santos, a renowned and beloved Portuguese actress, was born on November 16, 1985, in Lisbon, Portugal. Prior to her successful acting career, she began by working as a model, and it was through her modeling agency that she was discovered by the NBP, ultimately leading to her entry into the world of representation.
Her television career took off with a role in the Portuguese soap opera Fala-me de Amor in 2006, but it was her portrayal of the villainous Diana in the Emmy-winning soap opera Laços de Sangue in 2010 that truly brought her to the forefront of the public's attention. Her performance was so impressive that she was subsequently signed to an exclusive contract with the TV channel SIC.
Joana made her film debut in the 2011 release What's New About Love?, and went on to reprise her role as a leading lady in the 2012 remake of the popular soap opera SIC Dancin' Days.
