Jo was born in the charming city of Hereford in the year 1967, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey that would soon unfold.

He embarked on a path of artistic expression, pursuing his passion for acting at the prestigious Welsh College of Music and Drama. It was during this time that he first gained recognition for his exceptional stage work, particularly with the esteemed National Theatre in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
