Jim O'Rear has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry for over three decades, commencing his career as The Youngest Professional Magician on tour before transitioning to film and television.
He received training at The American Academy Of Dramatic Arts in New York and has since worked consistently as an actor, stuntman, and special make-up effects artist on numerous projects, including Star Trek 4, Stephen King's The Boogeyman, ABC's Nashville, Lethal Weapon 3, NBC's Fatal Encounters, The Dead Matter, Fall Of The House Of Usher, A Christmas Carol, Mortal Kombat: Conquest, and many more.
In addition to his work behind the camera, Jim has also ventured into screenwriting, successfully selling a variety of horror-related screenplays, including The House Of Pain, Hayride Slaughter, Vampyre Tales, Wolfsbayne, The Deepening, and Scream Farm.
His writing endeavors also extend to novels and paranormal books, such as "Tennessee Ghosts," "Mortuary Of Madness," "Hollywood Paranormal Films," "Traveling In Tennessee," and the how-to autobiography "Magic, Monsters, And Me."
Jim remains active in the industry, completing multiple films per year, including the critically-acclaimed and award-winning films The Hospital 1 & 2, Camp Massacre, and the sequel to the 1973 horror classic Don't Look In The Basement 2.
In addition to his filmmaking endeavors, Jim contributes to horror publications worldwide, consults on film projects internationally, and is the founder of Celebrity Ghost Hunters.
