Jeta Amata, a renowned Nigerian filmmaker, hails from a family of veteran filmmakers, comprising Ifoghale Amata, Zack Amata, and Fred Amata. As a result, it is no surprise that he has excelled in the world of filmmaking and entertainment. Jeta is known for his impressive repertoire of movies, including "The Amazing Grace", "Alexa Affair", and "Mary Slessor".
His international recognition began when he produced a film/documentary for the BBC, British Broadcasting Corporation, in 2003. He utilized his film "Game of Life" as footage for the documentary, which catapulted him to global prominence. Jeta's movie "Alexa Affair" premiered at the prestigious Berlin film festival in 2004, solidifying his position as a Nollywood success story.
Jeta's "The Amazing Grace" earned the award for Best West African Film at the 2006 Screen Nations Award UK, marking a significant milestone. Moreover, it became the first Nigerian film to be screened at the renowned Cannes film festival. His recent projects include "Inale", a musical adaptation of an African fairy tale, and "Black Gold", a film that chronicles the struggles of oil-rich Niger Deltans in Nigeria.
