Jesús del Cerro, a multifaceted creative force, hails from Madrid, Spain, where his passion for storytelling began to unfold.
Early on, he gained valuable experience working on prominent Spanish television series, including "Medico de Familia", "Policias", "Compañeros", and "Un Paso adelante", which achieved widespread acclaim and was sold to over 70 countries worldwide, including Germany, France, Italy, and the Netherlands.
In 2008, Jesús took the leap into feature filmmaking with "Carlitos and the chance of a lifetime", his directorial debut, which proved to be a box office success in Spain and garnered more than 20 international film festival awards, including the Giffoni Film Festival.
The following year, Jesús expanded his horizons by venturing into Romania, where he directed eight feature films and the documentary "Pregnant in Romania".
In 2011, his film "Nasa" earned him the prestigious Gopo Award for Best Film of the Year in Romania.
In November 2017, Jesús released his latest feature film, "Hawaii", starring Dragos Bucur and Cristina Flutur.
In 2018, he made his American film debut with "Attraction", shot on location in Puerto Rico, Los Angeles, and Paris, featuring Chris Atkins, Tara Read, and Dina de Laurentiis.
Currently, Jesús is working on the upcoming animated film "First Goal", scheduled for release in 2019.
