Biography

Jesús Castaños Chima, a renowned Mexican actor, hails from the vibrant city of Culiacán, Sinaloa, and has made a significant impact in the world of theater, television, and film.

His journey in the performing arts began in his hometown, where he was a member of the DIFOCUR Theater Group, directed by the accomplished Jorge Cázarez, and the Theater Workshop of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (TATUAS),led by the esteemed Óscar Liera.

With a career spanning almost four decades, Jesús has had the privilege of working in a wide range of productions, including plays, TV shows, and films, both in Mexico and the United States.

His impressive filmography includes notable titles such as Memorama (2019),directed by Gabriel S Reyes and Daniel Serrano Moreno, and El Jardín (2019),directed by Christian Cavazos. He has also worked on Pares y Nones, directed by Gregorio Carrillo, and the critically acclaimed Quinceañera (2006),directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, which won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival.

In addition to his film work, Jesús has appeared in several TV series, including Placas (USA),Carrusel, Destino, and Hora Marcada (México).
