Jessie Barnes Jr, a retired Law Enforcement Officer for the Federal Government, has had a remarkable career transition into the entertainment industry. For 16 years, he produced a public access video show in Queens, NY, called "Underground Ruff House," which served as a platform for unsigned and unknown musical artists to showcase their talents.
Throughout his tenure, Jessie and his film crew interviewed and highlighted notable artists such as Jay-Z, Faith Evans, The Notorious Biggie, 50 Cent, and many more. These artists have since become well-known in the industry.
In the summer of 2012, Jessie enrolled in Penny Templeton's acting studio, where he studied beginning and advanced acting classes. This marked the beginning of his acting career, as he started landing background work on TV shows such as Gotham, Madame Secretary, Luke Cage, Blue Bloods, and Jessica Jones.
Jessie's breakthrough came when he began securing speaking roles in various productions, including Homicide City, Street Justice: The Bronx, and Shattered. He has also appeared in numerous national commercials for prominent brands like Bookings.com, Ancestry.com, Inspire, Budweiser, and Toyota.
One of the highlights of Jessie's career is his feature role in the TV movie "Sinners Wanted," which premiered on TVOne network in April 2020. The film, which stars Clifton Powell, Lemman Rucker, and Traci Braxton, is also available on streaming platforms Tubi and Apple TV.
