Jessica Medina was born in La Romana, Dominican Republic, where she grew up surrounded by creativity. She often staged plays for her family and friends, showcasing her early talent. At the age of seventeen, she made the bold decision to move to Miami, Florida, to pursue her dreams.
In Miami, Jessica attended Miami-Dade College, where she studied English and began taking acting classes to hone her skills. Her hard work paid off when she was discovered by casting agents for Univision and started landing roles as a spokes-model for various Spanish television shows and commercials.
Seeking to break into the English-speaking market, Jessica relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. She dedicated herself to studying the Meisner technique and the Stanislavski method under the guidance of Lisina and John Stoneburner. This training led to her first guest-starring role on the Nickelodeon television series "My Parents, My Sister and Me" alongside Robin Givens.
Jessica's talent and dedication soon caught the attention of Forrest Whittaker, who advised her to move to Los Angeles and pursue a career in acting. Hollywood welcomed Jessica with open arms, and she landed numerous roles in films, television shows, and commercials.
In pursuit of more creative outlets, Jessica developed the project "Night Angel" with collaborator and director Ben Ramsey. To further refine her craft, she studied with some of the top acting coaches in Los Angeles, including Tom Proctor, April Wester, Peter Wise, and Bobby Chance.
As more projects began filming outside of Hollywood, Jessica decided to return to Atlanta, where the film industry is thriving and she could focus on developing new projects. Her recent work includes feature films, television shows, and a national print ad for "Go Back. Move Ahead," encouraging adults to return to college.
Jessica's latest passion project is fighting for the rights of underage sex-slaves worldwide. Her heart is heavy with the stories of young boys and girls being sold as prostitutes to tourists, and she hopes to create an organization to raise awareness and protect these innocent children.
In addition to her acting career, Jessica is a fitness enthusiast and trains in martial arts, distance running, aerobics, and military tactics. This physical training has led to many of her roles being physically demanding, and she would be an excellent action star.
