After her contract with TVB ended in 2012, Hsuan shifted her focus to the Asian film industry, appearing in the award-winning movie The Kid from the Big Apple (2016). Four years later, she returned to TVB, starring in the hit drama series The Unfair Lady (2017),which broke TVB's rating record. Since 2018, Hsuan has been actively involved in the film industry.
