Jess Maldaner is a Canadian filmmaker with a profound passion for crafting emotionally resonant stories that delve into the complexities of the human experience, promote empathy, and inspire introspection.

As a producer, he has made significant contributions to the world of television, notably being the driving force behind the long-running family drama series Heartland (2007) for CBC/eOne, which boasts an impressive 18 billion minutes viewed in the United States in 2022, ranking it as the 13th most streamed series in the country.

In addition to his work on Heartland, Maldaner has also produced Wynonna Earp: Vengeance (2024) for Tubi/Cineflix, further demonstrating his versatility as a producer. His other notable producing credits include the popular Canadian comedy series Jann (2019) from executive producer Andrew Barnsley (Schitt's Creek) for Bell Media/Hulu, as well as the Student Academy Award-nominated short film Drone (2015).
