Biography

Born in Brazil, the singer-songwriter was adopted as an infant by a Dutch family, embarking on a life-altering journey that would shape his future in profound ways. However, his early years were marked by turmoil, as his parents' divorce occurred when he was just 10 years old, prompting him to relocate to the exotic island of Sri Lanka with his mother and sister.

In this new environment, he quickly learned English by immersing himself in the soundtracks of Josh Groban and other artists, a passion that would later influence his own musical style. Within two years, he had returned to the Netherlands and was afforded the opportunity to choose his next educational path. In a bold move, he opted to enroll in a unique high school that balanced math and science classes with acting and dance instruction, a decision that would ultimately prove to be a defining moment in his life.

Years later, his drama coach informed him that the renowned Dutch writer Carry Slee was holding auditions for her second film, "Timboektoe." Although he had never considered acting professionally, he was drawn to the thrill of the tryout and decided to participate. His decision paid off, as he landed his first movie role, marking the beginning of a successful acting career.

This early success was followed by appearances in several films, including "MVID: The Battle," in which he played the role of "Marty," and "Asterix & Obelix bij de Britten," where he provided the Dutch voice for the character "Hippix."

In 2011, he released his first single, "I am no Superman," which became a hit in the Netherlands and was subsequently released in many countries around the world. This success was followed by the release of numerous singles, some of which were collaborations with other artists, including Dutch teen star Alessandro and American legend Jermaine Jackson.

As his career progressed, he began to focus more on songwriting, eventually releasing his latest single, "So Right," a duet with 18-year-old M'lissa. This talented singer-songwriter has clearly come a long way since his early days in Sri Lanka, and his journey is a testament to the power of perseverance and passion.
