Jennifer Grey is an accomplished American actress who has made a lasting impact in the film industry, particularly during the 1980s. Her breakthrough role came in the iconic film Dirty Dancing (1987),opposite the late Patrick Swayze, a sleeper hit that would go on to become one of the biggest films of the decade.
Prior to her starring role in Dirty Dancing, Grey had already appeared alongside Swayze in the cold war drama Red Dawn (1984),where she played the character 'Toni,' a member of the 'Wolverines,' a group of renegade teenagers fighting for their country during World War III.
Grey's impressive filmography during the 1980s also includes starring roles in Francis Ford Coppola's The Cotton Club (1984) and the John Badham project American Flyers (1985).
