Jennifer May Walker is a multifaceted performer with a career spanning multiple disciplines, including acting, burlesque, go-go dancing, modeling, and singing. Born in the West-Island of Montreal, her passion for the theatre arts was ignited in childhood, with early experiences in The Pauline Rathbone Children's Theatre and the Ottawa school of dance.
Throughout her training, Jennifer has worked with renowned instructors, including Meisner coach Jacqueline McClintock, and has studied the techniques of Uta Hagen with Marc Durso from Miami. She has also frequently studied with Gordon McCall, former director of the Centaur Theatre in Montreal, and is currently a student at the Tom Todoroff Acting Conservatory in New York City.
Jennifer's performing career began in 2007 with her role as Janis Weiss in the live musical theatre production of the cult classic "Rocky Horror." She went on to play the role of Janet for three consecutive years in prominent Montreal venues, including Theatre National and L'Olympia.
This experience led Jennifer to the world of burlesque and vaudeville, where she performed in sold-out shows at the Montreal Fringe Festival for three years. She has also modeled for Polymorphelatex clothing on the big stage at Le Medley in Montreal.
In 2012, Jennifer made the decision to commit herself fully to acting, following the passing of her beloved teacher Jacqueline McClintock. Not long after, she landed a role in the short film "Ceramic Tango," a psychological thriller/fantasy directed by award-winning filmmaker Patricia Chica.
Jennifer's next role was in the short French drama/thriller "Ainsi-Soit-il," directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Alexandra Elkin. In this film, she plays the role of Agnes, an abused young wife of a husband played by well-known Quebec actor Louis-Georges Girard.
In June 2013, Jennifer starred as Leonda, Satan's girlfriend, in the play "Alex Cross and His Rise to Fame," a rock comedy written and directed by Frankopho Nietzsche. This production was performed at the famous Mainline Theatre, Montreal Fringe headquarters.
