Biography

Jeff Kristian, a talented and versatile artist, was born in Bermondsey and made his TV debut at the age of six in a Tommy Steele BBC special, playing the young Charlie Chaplin. He is a multi-talented individual, exceling in various fields such as acting, writing, songwriting, recording, producing, and performance art.

Kristian's early career in the 1970s saw him take on regional theatre roles in productions like "The Monkey's Paw," "Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat," "Oh! What A Lovely War," "Macbeth," and "Jesus Christ Superstar." He also fronted live bands, including Dooyah!, which performed at prominent venues like The 100 Club, Dingwalls, The Rock Garden, and The Cliffs Pavilion.

In the 1990s, Kristian created and starred in his one-man review "The Kinky Hanky Panky Show" and won a Boyz Magazine Reader's Poll Award for Best Drag Queen with his 1990s creation "The Diva Show." His longest-running drag cabaret show, "The Jeff Kristian Show," ran from 2001 to 2016 at Molly Moggs Theatre Bar in London, earning the distinction of being the longest-running drag cabaret show in Soho's history.

Kristian's songwriting and recording career began in the heart of Basildon's 1982 music scene, which was the birthplace of British electronic ambient synth-pop and the launch pad of Depeche Mode, The Assembly, Yazoo, Vince Clarke, and Alison Moyet. His debut solo single "Pierrot" and its album "Circus" showcased his influences and talent. He has continued to record and write songs for himself and others, with notable collaborations and headlining performances at venues like Ronnie Scott's in London.

In addition to his music career, Kristian has been involved in various charitable initiatives, including composing a song to raise awareness for Cancer Is A Drag, a British registered charity, and contributing to a fundraising single for the Albert Kennedy Trust. He has also composed music for the US TV shows "London Calling" and "Xandermonium."

Kristian's acting career has seen him star in films like "Snow White: My Confidential Drawers," "Ephemeral Nature," "It Melts," "Out," and "Wonderland," as well as appear in numerous short films, TV shows, and commercials. He has also written features and articles for publications like Pink Wire Magazine and has authored a comedy novel, "Where D'Ya Put Yer Willy?," which was published in 2019.

As a model, Kristian has been exhibited in photographic portraits by renowned artists like Isabelle Sierra-Gomez, John Barlow, Robert Goldstein, Daniel Lilley, and Brian Sturgess. His portrait in oils and paint has been created by artists like Stephen B Whatley, Alvar Alcalde Vega, Fran Dibuja, and Pink Lynn.

Kristian has also been a co-owner of several London bars, including Attitude, Brief Encounter, and Molly Moggs, which won numerous awards for its performances and events. He has been a regular cast member on Channel 5's "Big Brother's Bit on the Side" and has appeared in commercials for Eurostar and The Alzheimer's Society.

Throughout his career, Kristian has been an advocate for vegetarianism, veganism, and animal rights, and in 2021, he celebrates fifty years in show business.
