Biography

Jeff Kober was born on December 18, 1953, in Billings, Montana. Growing restless with his life as a rancher, Kober made the bold decision to relocate to the Los Angeles area in his twenties, driven by a passion to become an actor. His early foray into the entertainment industry was a non-billed role in the 1980s series V (1984).

Kober's early career was marked by supporting roles in notable series such as China Beach (1988) and Kindred: The Embraced (1996). Following these appearances, he went on to guest star in a multitude of popular television shows, including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (1999),CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000),ER (1994),24 (2001),The Closer (2005),and Criminal Minds (2005).

Kober's film career began with the 1986 release Out of Bounds, where he portrayed Roy Gaddis, a small-time drug dealer with a penchant for violence. This role led to a string of film appearances, including The First Power (1990),Tank Girl (1995),Defining Maggie (2002),World Without Waves (2004),and the remake of The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007).

Throughout his career, Kober has demonstrated a willingness to take on diverse roles, including his work in several short independent films, such as the Academy Award-winning Session Man (1991) and Lucid (2006). On stage, he has made a name for himself in productions like Jenny Sullivan's autobiographical work "J For J" and "Defying Gravity".

Kober is also a talented artist, having created the paintings attributed to his character Daedalus on Kindred: The Embraced (1996). He is also the co-author of "Art That Pays: The Emerging Artist's Guide to Making a Living" alongside Adele Slaughter.

On a personal note, Kober has been married twice, to Rhonda Talbot and Kelly Cutrone, and has one son. His most recent film credits include The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007) and Multiple (2008).
