This trailblazing initiative resulted in the production of three critically acclaimed short films, namely "Distraída pra Morte" (2001),"Carolina" (2003),and "Narciso Rap" (2005),each a testament to Jeferson De's unwavering dedication to his craft and his unrelenting passion for promoting diversity and inclusion within the audiovisual industry.
Jeferson De's feature film debut, "_Bróder_", made a significant impact in the film industry, as it was chosen to participate in the prestigious 6th Sundance Screenwriters Lab, and subsequently screened at the 60th Berlinale, a renowned international film festival. The film's global exposure continued with its inclusion in various festivals across the world, such as the Miami International Film Festival, the New York International Film Festival, and the Chicago International Film Festival, to name a few. Additionally, "_Bróder_" received accolades at prominent Brazilian film festivals, further solidifying its reputation as a standout in the industry.
In addition to his work in feature films, Jeferson De also ventured into television, directing the children's series "Pedro e Bianca". This television series achieved great success, earning the esteemed Emmy Award for Best Series at the 2nd International Emmy Kids Awards. Through his utilization of his extensive knowledge of the law, Gama, a true champion of justice, successfully fought against the oppressive forces of slavery, leaving behind a lasting legacy that continues to inspire generations to this day.
