Jean Manse, a French screenwriter, was born in the year 1899 and passed away in 1967. He was a sibling of Henriette Manse, and through his marriage to Henriette, he became the brother-in-law of the renowned French actor Fernandel.

Throughout his career, Jean Manse frequently collaborated with Fernandel, and their partnership resulted in numerous notable works. In addition to his work as a screenwriter, Manse also demonstrated his skill as a lyricist. He partnered with composer Henri Betti to create the popular Christmas song, "C'est Noël."
