Jayce's career in filmmaking has been a winding road, filled with diverse roles and projects that showcase his versatility as a creative force. He began his journey as an actor, appearing in numerous films and television shows, including notable roles in Richard Linklater's Suburbia, Sam Rami's Spiderman, Tom McCarthy's The Station Agent, and Ava Duvernay's When They See Us.
As a writer, Jayce's first screenplay, The Cake Eaters, was brought to life by director Mary Stuart Masterson and starred Kristen Stewart and Bruce Dern. The film received critical acclaim, and Jayce's work as a writer and actor in the project was widely praised.
Jayce's subsequent project, Fall To Rise, was a deeply personal and emotional film that explored the struggles of dancers as they navigated the challenges of age and identity. The film featured an all-star cast, including Daphne Rubin-Vega, Desmond Richardson, and Katherine Crockett, as well as members of The Martha Graham Dance Company. Robert Redford praised the film, saying that it "beautifully captured the emotional difficulty of dancers coming to terms with age and identity."

In addition to his work on Fall To Rise, Jayce has also produced the award-winning documentary Larger Than Life: The Kevyn Aucoin Story, which premiered on The Orchard. The film received widespread critical acclaim, with the LA Times praising it as "a rich, deeply dimensional documentary."
Jayce's other credits include co-director and producer of the award-winning documentary Altered By Elvis, as well as a number of short films, including Suddenly..., Sunburn, Cocked and Locked, Jack & Paul, and Stricken. His next feature film, The Prince of Soho, is set to go into production in 2019.
