Jay Mohr, a native of Verona, New Jersey, United States, had always harbored a deep-seated desire to pursue a career in comedy. Throughout his life, he relentlessly sought opportunities to hone his craft, taking the stage at various esteemed institutions of higher learning, as well as renowned comedy clubs, and even prominent television forums, such as the iconic An Evening at the Improv, which premiered in 1981, and the equally celebrated Two Drink Minimum, which debuted in 1994.
Prior to achieving widespread recognition, Mohr gained national attention as a cast member on the esteemed sketch comedy program, Saturday Night Live, which initially aired in 1975. During his time on the show, he earned a reputation for his impressive impersonations of notable individuals, including the acclaimed actors Sean Penn and Christopher Walken.
