Biography

Jay Duplass, along with his brother Mark Duplass, initially gained recognition for crafting and directing a multitude of award-winning short films. Their first feature film, the 2005 Sundance breakout hit "The Puffy Chair", went on to win the prestigious Audience Award at SXSW and received a total of two Independent Spirit Award nominations. This cinematic masterpiece was subsequently released theatrically by Roadside Attractions and Netflix in 2006, making it a significant milestone in the brothers' burgeoning careers.

Their sophomore feature film, "Baghead", was picked up by Sony Pictures Classics at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival for both theatrical and DVD release. Moreover, the Duplass Brothers' inaugural studio feature, "Cyrus", starring the talented John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, and Marisa Tomei, has garnered widespread critical acclaim.

The brothers' most recent project, "Jeff, Who Lives at Home", boasts an impressive cast, including Jason Segal, Ed Helms, and Susan Sarandon.
