Jason Her was born in South Korea and spent his formative years at Fairview International School in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, before relocating to California for his high school education.
He went on to earn his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a focus on media and film from the prestigious Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
Jason's early career in the entertainment industry saw him directing a documentary for the acclaimed production company, Vienna Productions, and working as a producer for 20th Century Fox Mobile before transitioning to an acting career.
He received critical acclaim for his acting performance in the 2012 film "I Am Vengeance," which earned him the Special Jury Prize at the Monaco Charity International Film Festival and an honorable mention at the Asians on Film Festival in Los Angeles.
Jason is set to appear in the upcoming second season of Netflix's Emmy-studded series "BEEF" as a recurring guest star, following his previous roles in popular TV shows such as "Magnum PI" (CBS),"For All Mankind" (Apple+),"Criminal Minds" (CBS),and "This is Us" (ABC).
In addition to his acting credits, Jason is also a skilled voice actor, with notable roles in Netflix series such as "Her Blue Sky," "Kingdom," and the upcoming "KPOP: Demon Hunters" (2025).
Jason is a native Korean speaker and has worked as a Korean dialect coach and cultural consultant on various projects, including "For All Mankind" (Apple+),"The Consultant" (Amazon),"Sugar" (Apple+),"Umma" (Sony),and "Vacation Friends 2" (Amazon).
