Biography

Jason Evers, a blonde and attractive individual, played numerous roles portraying ordinary and respectable men, often hiding complex personalities, twisted motivations, or sinister intentions. Although he is most famously recognized for his portrayal of Dr. Bill Corter in the 1962 cult classic film, The Brain That Wouldn't Die, his career was far more extensive.

Before pursuing acting, Evers made a significant decision to leave school and join the army during World War II. Following his military service, he was inspired by Hollywood stars such as John Wayne and Humphrey Bogart, ultimately choosing to become an actor. His first notable breakthrough came in 1960 with a role in the television series Wrangler, followed by appearances in Pretty Boy Floyd, House of Women, and the television series Channing in 1963.

As his career progressed, Evers continued to secure roles in various films and television shows. In the 1970s, he appeared alongside Roddy McDowall in Escape from the Planet of the Apes, a sequel to the iconic Planet of the Apes, as well as in the made-for-television thriller Fer-de-Lance. He also starred in Claws, where he played a vengeful hunter seeking to kill a deadly grizzly bear, and Barracuda, in which he portrayed a biologist working to stop man-eating fish alongside Wayne Crawford.

Throughout the 1980s, Evers made over 65 appearances in television series and made-for-television films. He later returned to the big screen in 1990 with a role in Basket Case 2. Tragically, Jason Evers passed away due to heart failure in New York City in the year 2005.
