Biography

Jason Matthew Biggs was born on May 12, 1978, in the charming town of Pompton Plains, New Jersey, to Angela Zocco, a dedicated and compassionate nurse, and Gary Biggs, a seasoned and experienced shipping company manager. As the youngest of three siblings, Jason has two sisters, Heather, a tax specialist born in 1971, and Chiara, born in 1980. Growing up in a loving Catholic household, Jason's ancestry is deeply rooted in English and Italian descent, which has undoubtedly influenced his artistic pursuits.

Jason's passion for acting began at the tender age of five, when he started appearing in various national commercials. His early start in the entertainment industry paved the way for his subsequent roles in television and film. In 1991, at the age of 13, Jason landed a part on the FOX sitcom Drexell's Class, although the show was unfortunately canceled after just one season. The same year, he made his Broadway debut opposite the renowned Judd Hirsch in the play Conversations With My Father, which garnered him recognition and earned him a spot on the popular soap opera As the World Turns as the rebellious Pete Wendall. Jason's performance in the role earned him a nomination for Best Younger Actor in a Drama Series at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

After graduating from high school in 1996, Jason briefly attended New York University and Montclair State University in New Jersey before deciding to pursue acting full-time. In 1997, he costarred in the short-lived television series Camp Stories, and in 1999, he landed his breakthrough role in the teen sex comedy American Pie, which shocked yet wooed audiences, critics, and casting agents, ultimately granting him the freedom to choose new roles and scripts. Jason's subsequent performances in Loser and Boys and Girls showcased his versatility as an actor and cemented his status as a rising star in Hollywood.
